Tour Description
This adventure begins when you are picked up at your cruise ship pier or Hotel in Falmouth by one of our friendly guides who will take you in an air-conditioned van or bus on a 30 minute ride along Jamaica's scenic north to the stables.
This is truly a fun and enjoyable experience for the whole family! Our horseback riding tour goes through the scenic countryside, onto the shores and swimming bareback with the horses on a beautiful, private beach, experiencing the beautiful rural Jamaican landscape – frolic and revel in the warm Caribbean Sea.
Upon your arrival at the stables, Our trail masters will find a horse suitable to your riding experience. This tour takes you for one of the most unforgettable Caribbean experiences. This horse-riding trail takes you to see panoramic views of Jamaican picturesque mountains and coastline.
Your horseback riding begins at the Sand n' Saddle picturesque private beach. You will receive a safety briefing before setting out on your ride. Helmets are provided and are mandatory to be worn. Your ride will be slow along the trail as most riders are not experienced. Your guide will point out the variety of local vegetables grown by farmers on the rural trail, which will lead you onto a stretch of white sandy beach, where you will experience the tranquil beauty of the Caribbean Sea. Next is a trail that takes you back to the private beach. On arrival at the beach the guides will assist you to dismount your horse so that you can get ready for the swim. Enjoy this once in a Lifetime experience of being on your horse in the sea. When the tide is high your horse will actually swim.
Wear your swimsuit under long pants for the sea ride. Bring a towel and wear sneakers or walking shoes. Bare legs and sandals not recommended. Be sure to bring your camera and sunblock and a waterproof camera to capture all your special moments of this experience.
When you are finished, a guide will be waiting to take you back to your cruise ship pier or Hotel in Falmouth.
The following options are also available after your excursion:
- Enjoy some Jamaican lunch, this includes authentic spicy Jamaican Jerked Pork or Chicken along with unique side orders like Festivals and Bammy (the cost of lunch is not included in the rate).
- Visit Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville Sports Bar and Grill by the Beach
- Duty Free Shopping in town and or shopping by the Craft Market
We also offer private group tours!

In summary, Driver and experience were excellent. The driver went above and beyond to make sure my family had a good time. Horse trainers also did a great job. Overall experience was excellent.
Thanks
Re: Beach Horseback Ride and Swim Adventure from Falmouth
I have to say that Jamaica was my favorite stop on the cruise thanks to this excursion and Karandas Tours. We were by ourselves and felt that little cove where we went to swim with the horses was just a special little place.
Keep up the good work you guys.
