Tour Description
Come with us on an adventure when you are picked up at your cruise ship pier or Hotel in Falmouth by one of our friendly guides who will take you in an air-conditioned van or bus on a 30 minute ride along Jamaica's scenic north to the stables.
This is truly a fun and enjoyable experience for the whole family! Our horseback riding tour goes through the scenic countryside, onto the shores and swimming bareback with the horses on a beautiful, private beach, experiencing the beautiful rural Jamaican landscape – frolic and revel in the warm Caribbean Sea.
Upon your arrival at the stables, Our trail masters will find a horse suitable to your riding experience. This tour takes you for one of the most unforgettable Caribbean experiences. This horse-riding trail takes you to see panoramic views of Jamaican picturesque mountains and coastline.
Your horseback riding begins at the Sand n' Saddle picturesque private beach. You will receive a safety briefing before setting out on your ride. Helmets are provided and are mandatory to be worn. Your ride will be slow along the trail as most riders are not experienced. Your guide will point out the variety of local vegetables grown by farmers on the rural trail, which will lead you onto a stretch of white sandy beach, where you will experience the tranquil beauty of the Caribbean Sea. Next is a trail that takes you back to the private beach. On arrival at the beach the guides will assist you to dismount your horse so that you can get ready for the swim. Enjoy this once in a Lifetime experience of being on your horse in the sea. When the tide is high your horse will actually swim.
Next, enjoy an exciting tubing adventure on the historic Rio Bueno river, named the "Good River" by Christopher Columbus and the Spanish after they discovered it in 1494. Your tour begins as you are greeted by one of your river guides upon arrival. Your guide directs you to the office area to check in and receive your helmet before heading outside to get fitted with your life jacket and paddling gloves. You receive some final safety instructions from your tour guide and then follow him across the IRIE bridge and into the rainforest. Your 10 minute walk along the jungle path leads you to the launching point of your river adventure.
Now it's time to jump into the cool water and begin your exciting journey downstream! You tube over various areas of splashing rapids as you paddle your way through the many twists and turns of the Rio Bueno. Halfway through your tour, you stop for some chill time under the bamboo tree, where you can swim and try out the rope swing. After some time at the swimming area, you jump back into your tube and make your way through some more fun filled rapids.
As you pass under the old stone bridge, the river currents carry you on a relaxing ride towards the Caribbean Sea. Once you reach the river delta, paddle over some small waves that will carry you to the sandy shores of Bengal Bay. You walk along the shore for about 5 minutes before arriving at Bengal Beach for some time to relax, swim in the sea, view some amazing photographs of your tour, and have some drinks at the bamboo bar.
Once here you may have some beach time , go for a swim, enjoy the sun and have a cool drink at the bar before returning to your Cruise Ship Pier in Falmouth or Trelawny resort.

We did this while on our cruise to Jamaica and had a wonderful time. The horses are well taken care of and we just enjoyed interacting with them! The swim was different but fun. I must mention the guides on the river Tubing, Roy went out of his way to help and take care of us down the river, always making sure that my daughter was safe.
We will see you next year!
