Tour Description

You will be greeted and picked up from your cruise pier or Hotel in Montego Bay by our friendly diver/guide who will take you on a journey for about one (1) hour along Jamaica's lush north coast to Dunn's River Falls in Ocho Rios, where you can climb or just view this 600 ft miracle of cascading water falls. Enjoy the beautiful scenery as you drive along. You may ask your driver to do a rest stop and grab a Red Stripe beer before continuing.

This is a popular combo with which you will experience beautiful greenery, cascading water falls and river rapids. Generations of visitors have been thrilled by this attraction year after year. You may do the climb assisted with park guides or go solo. Your driver will safe guard your belongings will you climb if you would like.

Dunn's River Falls is the number one tourist attraction in Ocho Rios and one of Jamaica’s natural treasures and definitely is a "must do" when you visit Ocho Rios. It has a truly remarkable atmosphere, within the layout there are beautiful cascading falls, which are a delightful challenge to all visitors. 

When you arrive at the falls you will be oriented by our guides briefly before making the climb. There is a stairway adjacent to the fall that goes all the way down to the beach. At the base of the Falls on the beach is where you will start your climb of this 600 feet natural wonder, for all those of you who are adventurous. The climb is not hard, but an easily navigable fun experience. 

Over decades Dunn's River Falls has offered millions of explorers an instant connection to nature but also has concessions such as Blue Mountain Coffee, hair braiding and Baskin & Robins.

After you have finished climbing, we will return to Montego Bay for a visit of the Rose Hall Great House.

The Rose Hall Great House is the most famous in Jamaica. It is a Georgian Mansion with a stone base and a plastered upper storey, high on the hillside, with a fantastic panorama over the coast. Built in the 1770s, Rose Hall was restored in the 1960s to its former splendour, with mahogany floors, interior windows and doorways, panelling and wooden ceilings. It is decorated with silk wallpaper printed with palms and birds, ornamented with chandeliers and furnished with mostly European antiques. There's a bar downstairs and a restaurant.

Rose Hall is most famous for the story of its mistress Annie Palmer, who came here in 1820, and the fanciful legends of underground tunnels, bloodstains and hauntings. A renowned beauty, Annie Palmer was widely and she is also supposed to have dispatched three husbands (by poison, by stabbing and then pouring boiling oil into his ears, and by strangling) and innumerable lovers, including slaves, whom she simply killed when she was bored of them. She was 4ft 11ins high and was murdered in her bed. There is little evidence to support the legend, an amusing version of which was written up by H. G. de Lisser in his "White Witch of Rose Hall".

After your history lesson, you will board your bus/van for the trip back to Montego Bay where you may do some last minute shopping for souvenirs before returning to your cruise ship.
