Tour Description
This is a popular combo which allows you to explore two different "wet river experiences" - you will face cascading water falls, gentle river rapids and beautiful greenery.
This family friendly adventure begins when you are picked up at your cruise ship pier or Resort in Ocho Rios. First we will head for Dunn's River Falls to view or climb this modern day 600 ft. miracle. It is best to arrive at the falls early in the mornings to avoid the huge cruise ship crowds. By doing this, you will have a more personable and enjoyable climb of the falls. It has a truly remarkable atmosphere, within the layout there is a series of beautiful water falls, which are a great pleasure and challenge to all visitors.
Over decades Dunn's River Falls has offered millions of explorers an instant connection to nature and generations of visitors have been thrilled by this attraction year after year. You may do the climb assisted with park guides or go solo. Your driver/guide will safeguard your belongings while you climb the falls if you would like.
After you have finished climbing, its time to go gliding. It's one wet adventure after the other.
Your driver/guide will take you for a 15 minute ride along the coast and then head about two miles inland to begin your river tubing adventure on the White River. On your way to the river, you will get a taste of Jamaica as you pass through local neighborhoods.
When you arrive at the White River, you will be briefed, placed one person to a river tube and with two experienced river guides who head groups of 5-15 persons at a time down stream. If the group is smaller, you will be provided with one guide to every five tubes. The river tubing guides are fun, very helpful and attentive as you go down stream, they will help you to have fun but always with your safety in mind. Life vest are also available for those who prefer these and there are changing rooms and bath rooms at this point. The tubes are filled out with a bottom which helps you to enjoy your journey.
On your trip down the river you will go through seven rapids and placid pools. The tropical scenery is amazing as you glide down stream on this 45 minutes to 1 hour journey. This is a trip that you wont be forgetting anytime soon.
There is a midway stop as you go downstream where you will have the opportunity to stop and swing on a rope and fall into the river which is about 20ft. deep at this section, before continuing down stream in your tube. Your guide/driver will safeguard your belongings while you go tubing.
After you are finished, your driver/guide will then take you back to your cruise ship. However, you also have the option of going to the Island Village shopping centre or Tajmahal shopping centre which are both walking distance from your cruise ship pier. Here you may do some shopping for souvenirs at the Harley Davidson Store or go do the pool slide at Jimmy Buffets famous Margaritaville.
The following options are also available after your excursion:
- Enjoy some Jamaican lunch, this includes authentic spicy Jamaican Jerked Pork or Chicken along with unique side orders like Festivals and Bammy (the cost of lunch is not included in the rate).
- Visit Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville Sports Bar and Grill by the Beach
- Duty Free Shopping in town and or shopping by the Craft Market

Hi,
My tour was great. Excellent driver. There was an issue in the beginning where we were waiting quite a while in the van (in the parking lot) while for another couple from the ship to come on the van with us and they never arrived. I understand this was not the fault of the driver and he was nice and apologized for the delay.
We also had to wait about 15 minutes after the raft trip because someone else needed a pick up at the port who arrived earlier than was anticipated. The driver also apologized for this delay.
I would definitely recommend your group for excursions and I will plan to use you again.

The transportation and driver Jerome Coley was perfect! We had no problems when got off the ship and getting connected with a rep who knew where we needed to go and be picked up by Jerome. Once we met up with Jerome, he greeted us with a smile and was very friendly. He knew exactly where and when to take us to beat the crowds. He was right, as we were finishing up our time climbing the falls, the crowds started to come. While on the way to both locations he was knowledgeable about the areas and shared a lot about the culture, food, history, etc. When we arrived at the tubing area, he shared his personal love for the white river which was a nice touch. The river is beautiful. He even took photos and videos of us at the beginning of our tubing adventure which he later shared with me via WhatsApp. He shared how Juicy Patty was a signature food and took us to get one. They were delicious. We truly enjoyed our experience and our time with Jerome. We will be back and will request him!

Hi Dwight,
Our driver, Michael, was wonderful. It was easy to find him at the dock, and he was friendly and all-around personable. We enjoyed the excursions, especially Dunn’s River Falls, where we were among the first ones in of the day. The climb was exhilarating and even more exciting than we expected. Michael got us in and gave us tips on exactly where to go to find our way in and out quickly. Then he gave us a little city tour on the way to the White River tubing adventure. That excursion was a bit shorter that we would have liked, but it was scenic and relaxing and very enjoyable. We ended the day with a shopping stop, which was OK, could have skipped it, we spent too much and I think I could have found the Blue Mountain coffee I wanted for less. In all, it was a great day in Ocho Rios, and I’d recommend Excursions in Jamaica (Karandas Tours Ltd.)
