Tour Description
A warm Jamaican welcome awaits you from one of our host who will greet you.
Be escorted on a scenic walk through a beautiful ornamental garden where you will see a wide variety of herbs and tropical plants such as the Cat Whiskers, Plumbago and the Canon.
At the end of the garden path experience an awesome panoramic view of the Caribbean Sea!
Then it's off to our "Sea View" kitchen on the veranda of the historical and majestic Great House 1100 feet above sea level. Your senses will be tantalized by the different herbs and spices to be used in the cooking exercises.
Each person will have their own work station with a clear view of Chef "Irie" as he guides you in the preparation of your own "Jamaican Fare" meal. Prepare your own Prospect's Special Blend Jerk Sauce, Coconut "Run Down" with Shrimp and more.
Learn the authentic preparation of the following sumptuous Jamaican dishes:
- Jerked Chicken
- Festival
- Shrimp Run Down
- Steamed Callaloo
- Rice N Peas
After learning how to prepare these delightful meals, enjoy your truly Jamaican meal overlooking the Caribbean Sea.

I operate a small food stand in the city so I especially wanted to do this excursion when I saw it online while doing my search for excursions in Jamaica. I enjoyed cooking with the chef who was so humble, patient and co-operative. He did a really good job….I did a good job too… the food turned out great and I left Jamaica with an added appreciation for cooking Caribbean food and will certainly add some techniques to my way of cooking Jamaican Jerked Chicken and look for ways to improve my menu.
